That Girl- The Vamps

Hey guys! GUESS WHAT….. IT’S FRIDAY!!!!!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!! FINALLY!!!! HOORAYYYYY!!!!! YAYYYYY!!!!!!!
ok i’m done. really, i promise. Anyways, every happy friday requires a happy blog, and so I decided for today I would let you guys in to one of my favorite little treats in this world, one of the things that make me happiest- a litle band called The Vamps. Now, now, i beg of you to not let your stereotypically judegemental mind form opinions on my babies just yet. Let’s clear up a few things first, alright? okay.
Number 1) THEY ARE NOT A BOYBAND. I REPEAT, NOT A BOYBAND. ONCE AGAIN…. NOT A BOYBAND.
Glad we settled that 😉
Number 2) They have absolutely no relation whatsoever to any sort of vampires, whether grotesque or classy or bloody or notcurnal, or whatever your vision of a vampire is- they have nothing to do with any of that nonsense.
Number 3) Brad, the lead singer, IS NOT ACTUALLY TWELVE YEARS OLD. I PROMISE. he’s actually turning 18 next month. and so I beg you, remember that when you watch the video.
Ahhh yes, of course there’s a video 😉 I have to make this a short post because I’m a bit busy at the moment, but I leave you with one of my favorite Vamps video, which i hope you enjoy as much as I do. Au revoir!

Jesse McCartney- Because You Live

So lately a lot of my close friends have been struggling with how they view themselves. You know the usual story- I’m fat, I’m ugly, etc. However, regardless of how often and common these complains are, it is extra hard to see people you care about suffer with it. And don’t get me wrong- I have those days too. I’m not perfect, nobody is. And it is totally okay to feel down in the dumps once in a while. However, i hate it when it happens so often, as it’s seemingly has been with a few of my friends. I feel like society puts a ridiculously high expectation on everyone, especially teenage girls. Nobody ever feels good enough, and some people feel as if nobody loves them. It makes me sad. So for today I found an old classic which I think will help anyone who’s feeling sad. Ever heard of Jesse McCartney? He has this amazing song called “Because You Live”, and it’s one of my all time favorites. Whenever I’m sad and having self esteem issues, I put it on and listen to the lyrics, really listen to them. In it, Jesse is telling whomever he’s dedicating this song to just how much she means to me- “Because you live, my world has everything I need to survive.” Those are pretty big words don’t you think? Despite this song being dedicated to a specific person, I like to look at it as dedicated to each and everyone of us. Whether we know it or not, we have all affected someone’s life in a positive way at some point. I promise.

Emblem3- Chloe

hello beauties! Happy Wednesday! I hope you’ve had a fantastic week so far! So today’s post is hitting home a bit with the team inspire post i wrote a few months back. So do you guys remember that band i wrote about as well, a few months back, Emblem3? Yes, no, maybe? hahah okay anyways, they finally released a new single! The name of the song is Chloe, and it’s one of my favorite songs to have been released in a while. Basically, the “plot line” of the song is about a girl who has a beautiful sister that everyone’s in love with, while Chloe (the girl) always gets the short end of the stick. So the song starts off directly addressing Chloe, and the chorus is also telling her, “I know your sister turns everyone on, but you’re the one that I want.” However, the song towards the bridge gets a bit more vague, and begins to adress all the “Chloe’s” of the world, evreryone and anyone (both boys and girls) who feel as if though they’re getting the short end of the stick, and not the love they truly deserve. My favorite line of the song is “I’m attracted to your passion, be yourself, forget the fashion.” I love this line so much because I think it really exemplies the meaning of the song. More often than not, people try too hard to be someone else, as opposed to themselves, because they feel as if though they’re not good enough. That particular line helps to remind us that we are ourselves, and nobody else can be us, so why not make the best of it? Anyways, I hope you enjoy the song, which I took the liberty of leaving the link for you! Enjoy it beautiful Chloes!

Sophia Grace and Rosie

Hello friends! Guess what… IT’S ALMOST FRIDAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY! Pardon my overly eager excitedness, but this week has literally been e n d l e s s and it’s been just a little short of terrible. Just cause you know, I was out all of last weeek, so the make up work in school was crazy, and so many tests and AP exams and… well yeah it’s been overwhelming. Anyway, regarsless of anything I’ve been through this past week, it’s a great day to be alive. I’m in school, I’m healthy, I have my family, and I’m living a good life. The best part is focusing on the positives right? Anyway, for today, I have a special little treat for you guys! Ever heard of Sophia Grace and Rosie? NO? Well, they’re two of the cutest little Brits in the entire world. They’re a pair of cousins, one is 8, the other is 10, and they’re living the dream life. Basically, they go aroud the world (literally, the entire world) and all the big celebity events, and interview them. They went viral with a short little video of the girls rapping a popular Nicki Minaj song, and eventually Ellen DeGeneres found them, and well as they say, the rest is history. Anyway, here’s a cute little video of the girls performing Thrift Shop at a recent Ellen show taping. It’s so cute and always puts a smile on my face. Hope it does for you too! 🙂

Smiles All Around :)

hey friends! happy wednesday! ok so today i’m literally like 3000 million times less stressed than I’ve been in a while. It could be because today is the first of May (FINALLY!) and so it’s official that we end school next month… or it could be because I simply stopped caring. I don’t even know, this year I have worked my pretty little butt off like there is no tomorrow, harder than I’ve worked every other year in high school combined, so i think my brain kind of gave up on me too. Regardless of why, I’m feeling happy and destressed. I woke up like that this morning, actually, and I did the cutest thing (if i may say so myself). Ok cause you know how sometimes you wake up and you’re just like ‘ugggh it’s gonna be a crappy day’ and that kinda sets the tone for the day? Well because i woke up feeling the complete opposite and instead I was super happy, I decided i wanted all my friends to be happy too. So I sent out a good morning text that simply read,
“Good morning beautiful. I hope you remember God loves you and that you have a wonderful day. I love you :)”
Just like that. So many of my friends responded eagerly and happily, and it made me happy to know I made them smile. So the song of the day, since the theme is smiles, is a classic Uncle Kracker- “You Make Me Smile”.
Enjoy 🙂

Homeless- Ed Sheeran

Hi guys! Happy Thursday, aka almost Friday! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week so far! I’ve had a really mixed emotions week to be honest with you, lol. See one of the reasons it was bad was because of the bombing, Venezuela’s elections, the Texas power plant exploding, those tragedies. And yes it makes me sad to see such horrible things happen, but it’s also a reminder that life is so unexpected. You can’t take anything for granted, because every day, hour, minute, and second of your life is a gift from God. Every morning you wake up, remember to thank God that you woke up, because thousands of people around the world aren’t as lucky. That’s one of the reasons I’m also happy- because all these tragedies were a wake up call to me. They’re reminders of how blessed I am, and of course I’m deeply saddened by the pain around me, but it also helps me understand and appreciate just how much God has blessed me. So the song for today is (yes, you guessed it) an Ed Sheeran song. It’s called “Homeless”. It’s not too relevant to the theme of today’s blog, but i love it so much because it describes all the struggles Ed went through before he made it big- living on trains, sleeping on benches, going days without eating. Yet he never gave up. He continued to work hard, being appreciative of what he did have, and look at what he’s achieved now. So I’d like you to reflect on the song, and give me feedback if you’d like as well! Have a lovely day 🙂

Lean on Me

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday. Now as most of you should be aware, yesterday was a rather tragic day for us, the United States, as a nation. The bombing at the Boston Marathon is truly a saddening and sickening tragedy. It hurts to know people in this world are capable of such digusting actions. I know it’s hard to understand, and I know sometimes we don’t understand why such terrible things happen to amazing people. As well, in my home country of Venezuela, we are also experiencing horrible circumstances. However, we always have to keep in mind that God is all powerful and all knowing, and that He is also perfect. He knows why everything happens, and particularly why He chooses the timing He does. Now this isn’t a totally depressing post- after all my blog is about the beauty and positivity in the world, and yes even in such dark times we can find a light shining bright. Footages from the bombing at Boston clearly depict and endless stream of spectators and racers themselves helping those injured, putting themselves at risk to help others. In Venezuela we see nations around the world doing everything they can to aid us out of our misery. That’s where you see the true beauty of this world- the truly amazing intent God has for us as humanity in a whole. For every one bad things there’s about 1000 other ten times better. Often it’s hard to focus on all the good, but if you put your life is perspective and compare the negative with the positive, I can gurantee you the positive wins, by a landslide. I’m not telling you it’s wrong to feel sad, beause it’s okay to be sad, and yes you should definitely keep everyone suffering in your prayers, no doubt about it. But also be thankful to God for everything he’s blessed you with. I reiterate once again, God is so so so so good to us, and we need to keep it mind. One way we can thank Him, is by helping others. Those that risked themselves to aid the injured at the bombing show that they are appreciative of everything God has givent them, and are willing to suffer in order to help those who aren’t as lucky. On that note, I will leave you with a classic favorite of a song- keep it mind and listen to the lyrics. Have a beautiful day.

Don’t Worry, Be Happy

hey guys! happy almost Friday! i hope you’ve had a wonderful week so far 🙂 anyways, today’s an extra happy day for me as a Catholic because Habemus Papam!. For those of you who don’t speak latin (I expect it to be most of you) this means we have a a new Pope! Argentinian native Pope Francisco I. As a Catholic this is super exciting news for me! And it actually came as a huge relief, because we’d all been stressing over what the outcome of this whole situation would be. So, i found the perfect song for today. it might not be as you expected, but it’s a song i felt suited the day just because I’m in such a happy mood… Ever heard of Bob Marley? Then I think you can guess the song of the day! Don’t Worry, Be Happy!. I realize yesterday I also gave a little a bit of a throwback, but to be honest no music today compares to good oldies. I’m a huge fan of every typeof music as I told you guys before, so you can definititely be expecting a new song along with every post. Back to the point. This song is dedicated to all you beautiful people who are having troubles today, this week, this month, etc. Remember, life goes on, and whatever troubles you today will most likely be gone within a week! Always remember, happiness is the key to a successful life, and nothing fits the regime more than living by the some of the greatest words ever uttered- “Don’t Worry, Be Happy!”

Let It Be

hey pals. hope you’ve had a great week so far. today’s blog post is dedicated to one of the most incredible songs by perhaps the most talented band to have ever inhabited our small earth- Let It Be by The Beatles. I know it is a total cliche, but it’s just one of those songs that never gets old, you get me? I think it’s one of the best picker upper songs there are. When you’re having a bad day, week, month, etc, a little listen to this beautiful song is bound to put a smile on your face.
“When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be”
Those are my favorite lyrics of the song because I love that they incorporate the Virgin Mary. I think this song is genuinely just absolutely flawless, it helps you think about life and what really matters. It’s also a remidner that life goes on, God has a plan for all of us, He knows the right time and place, you just have to let him work his magic, and quite simply, Let It Be.

#teaminspire

hey guys! happy Monday! Now I know Monday isn’t particularly the best day of the week, but i have a little something to cheer you guys up! Well, honestly unless you’re a teenage girl who’s in love with boybands this might not brighten your day too much… But i suggest you listen to the lyrics of the song regardless of your gender! Ok I realized you might be a bit confused as to what I could possibly be talking about. Well I’m a HUGE boyband and music fan in general, and my latest obsession is a band by the name of Emblem3. They’re a threesome of 2 brothers, Keaton and Wesley, and their best friend Drew. They’re beautiful and talented, bound to make it big in the industry, as they’ve been signed by Simon Cowell. However, the reason I love them so much isn’t because of their looks and soulful voices. It’s because of their purpose. They centralize their music and careers around the motto “Team Inspire”. Basically, Team Inspire’s goal is to help improve the world and its inhabitants, to aid the world in loving themselves and its creatures. They also, through various lyrics and songs, encourage their listeners to be nothing but love, to live out your purposes to their full extent. It is truly amazing to see how down to earth they are. One of my favorite (original) songs of theirs is called Curious, my favorite lyric being “Look out the window and remember life goes on.” I think they really captivate what I’m trying to accomplish with my blog, to help others understand the positive side of everything. So, you should definitely be expecting lots more Emblem3 to come! For now, i leave you with a video of the song, so you can see how amazing it is. Au revoir for now!
